Early on in my Student Teaching my mentor, Mrs. West, and I had each 4th grade class go through gelli printing stations, where they got a taste for the craft and experimented with different ways of creating monoprints using gelli plates. Afterwards Mrs. West and I were brainstorming what we could have the students do with the finished monoprints from those stations, and that’s when I came up with my lesson for them to create Food Collages using them!
